Can I join the Cozumel ATV tour if I have never driven an ATV before?+
Yes. The route is beginner-friendly because the team starts with a safety briefing, guide instructions and a controlled group departure. No driver's license is required under the current tour information.
Do I need a driver's license to drive an ATV in Cozumel?+
No. Current Mike Excursions tour information says no driver's license is required. Guests must still follow guide instructions and ride responsibly.
Can two people share one ATV?+
Travelers can ride alone or accompanied. Final ATV assignment, passenger setup and availability should be confirmed by WhatsApp before the tour date.
Is there a weight limit for the ATV?+
A final published weight limit has not been provided yet. If anyone in your group is concerned about size, mobility or comfort, send the details by WhatsApp before booking so the team can confirm the best setup.
What is the minimum age to drive or ride?+
Drivers must be at least 14 years old. Children under 5 do not pay, and passenger setup for minors should be confirmed directly with the guide/team before the activity.
Can pregnant travelers or people with health conditions participate?+
No. The tour is not suitable for pregnant travelers, recently operated travelers or travelers with heart problems. Guests with serious back, neck, mobility or medical conditions should ask before booking.
Can I ride if I consumed alcohol or drugs?+
No. For safety, guests should not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs. The guide can deny participation when safety instructions cannot be followed.
What should I bring to the ATV and Jade Cavern tour?+
Bring comfortable clothes that can get dusty or wet, closed shoes with grip, swimsuit or quick-dry clothes, a light towel, biodegradable sunscreen or repellent, and cash for the Mayan town tax, gratuity or shopping.
Is transportation included from the cruise port?+
Round-trip transportation is included from the coordinated public pickup location. The exact pin, pier instructions and meeting photos are sent after reservation by WhatsApp.
How long does the ATV tour last?+
The main tour lasts about 3 hours and 30 minutes, plus the coordinated pickup and return timing. Departures are usually 9:00 am and 11:00 am, adjusted when availability allows for cruise visitors.
Are photos and videos included?+
Photos and videos are not listed as included, but you may bring your own camera or phone with no extra access charge. Use a durable or waterproof case for Jade Cavern and dusty riding areas.
Is this ATV tour good for cruise ship passengers?+
Yes. The experience is designed for cruise visitors, with pickup coordination, compact timing, a guided route and return transportation planned around the ship's time in port when availability allows.
Can I reserve now and pay the rest later?+
Yes. You can request the reservation with a 35 USD / 700 MXN per paid traveler deposit, or pay the full tour in advance. The balance is paid before the activity starts in cash or card, with final details confirmed by WhatsApp.
Is the ATV tour guided or self-paced?+
The tour is guided. A local guide leads the group through the jungle route, Jade Cavern, El Cedral cultural stops, tequila tasting and local shopping.
What is not included in the ATV tour price?+
The 20 USD Mayan town entrance tax per paid person is separate and can be paid in USD or MXN at the day's exchange rate, with no extra charge. Guide gratuity, personal shopping, crafts, jewelry and coral purchases are also separate.
What is the cancellation policy?+
Cancel at least 24 hours before the meeting or pickup time for a full refund. If your cruise or ship arrives late, the team can adjust the activity schedule when availability allows and you still want to continue.
